The Timer Display

Each timer features an LED-style display, which informs you about the state of the timer. The color scheme of the display can be changed in the global settings dialog. The LED display features a large, LED-style display with numbers and a smaller text display below, for additional information.

On a count-up timer the display shows

• the elapsed time
• the running state ("RUNNING" / "STOPPED")

When a timer is in running state, the digit separators are blinking. On a count-down timer the display shows

• the remaining time (in the big display)
• the past (elapsed) time (in the small sub-display)
• the running state ("STOPPED" when stopped)

In alarm-clock mode the display shows

• the current time, either in 12 hour format (with "AM" and "PM" prefix) or 24 hour mode (military time)
• the left (remaining) time to the alarm
• the running state ("INACTIVE" when stopped), a bell symbol when the clock is "set to go off"

In count-up and count-down mode you can set the display to 1/10 second accuracy over the context-menu.
Here is what the different digits stand for:

You can switch to a miniatur mode, to save screen space. Click the "Resize" button in the toolbar to toggle the size. This mode is especially useful, if you are using a lot of timers at the same time. In the miniatur mode, the display does not feature the sub-display for additional information. All other functions remain the same.
